This Christmastime<\/p>\n
I really fear<\/p>\n
will not be the same this year<\/p>\n
our feast, nearby the parents\u2019 tree<\/p>\n
the veggie train, and artichokes three<\/p>\n
faccia di vecchia, even thee<\/p>\n
will not be made for you and me<\/p>\n
no trading presents, bows all bright<\/p>\n
or watching kiddos eyes alight<\/p>\n
because the world is not alright<\/p>\n
Covid, it steals our joy and here<\/p>\n
we stay home, no thanks or cares<\/p>\n
no loving hugs, or kisses there<\/p>\n
for our mothers, fathers warned<\/p>\n
protect and keep them far from harm<\/p>\n
we\u2019ll only have a video Zoom<\/p>\n
that\u2019s so impersonal, feelings down<\/p>\n
this holiday, it wears a frown<\/p>\n
we\u2019ll wish a Christmas present next<\/p>\n
we\u2019re back together, health intact<\/p>\n
joy, hugs and love<\/p>\n
come rushing home<\/p>\n
and Christmas lights<\/p>\n
all cheery and bright<\/p>\n
will keep hearts happy<\/p>\n
next holy night.<\/p>\n
