The mysteries that lie beneath the surface<\/p>\n
Is there a justice system<\/p>\n
One that ends in others consuming the guilty<\/p>\n
Or have they witnessed too much tragedy<\/p>\n
At the hands of humans?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The bodies that we throw in<\/p>\n
The ashes<\/p>\n
Is the titanic a museum for them<\/p>\n
A school trip if you will?<\/p>\n
They know things we don’t<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Capable of things we aren’t<\/p>\n
Working together<\/p>\n
Moving as one<\/p>\n
Knowing where they stand<\/p>\n
We cannot say the same<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They murder for survival<\/p>\n
Do they grieve their fallen?<\/p>\n
In the deepest recesses of the ocean floor<\/p>\n
Do they know what death is like<\/p>\n
A darkness we are not capable of understanding<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The pressure of the water<\/p>\n
Viewing us an intrusion<\/p>\n
Plotting their revenge<\/p>\n
One day we will know their wrath<\/p>\n
Fishing hooks in gills<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Do they wed?<\/p>\n
Understand love<\/p>\n
Family court adjourned with a bang of a coral<\/p>\n
Choking on plastic and q-tips<\/p>\n
They believe their time is up<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But it’s us, not them<\/p>\n
Our disregard for the water<\/p>\n
Broken bottles become sea glass<\/p>\n
But we become fish food<\/p>\n
Because we never asked the right question<\/p>\n
