It’s 5am in the USA<\/p>\n
dark, but day is dawning.<\/p>\n
6 hours ahead in the RSA<\/p>\n
but i’m still subtly yawning.<\/p>\n
Whilst lamps are lit and candles burn<\/p>\n
6 hours ahead we’ve had our turn<\/p>\n
It’s bright outside the warmth of the sun<\/p>\n
in 4 more hours our poems are done.<\/p>\n
An incredible challenge, no sleep to be had<\/p>\n
Reminiscent of times when I was a grad.<\/p>\n
now I’m much older with children to mind<\/p>\n
light the candle, ignite the lamp<\/p>\n
