You say <\/span>God of the Gaps<\/span><\/i> with such derision<\/span><\/p>\n

Like maybe you think you\u2019re talking about high-priced denim<\/span><\/p>\n

or a cardigan for your shoulders but not your arms. <\/span><\/p>\n

Like maybe you think the gaps themselves are at fault,<\/span><\/p>\n

or that a time is coming when everything will be known.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For starters it\u2019s <\/span>Goddess<\/span><\/i> of the Gaps but you\u2019re checked out already<\/span><\/p>\n

I can tell because I knew another man just like you once<\/span><\/p>\n

You won\u2019t want to hear about what happened to him\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

because it\u2019s too crude<\/span><\/p>\n

and too topical. Your thoughts are manifesting your entire world,<\/span><\/p>\n

whether or not you think you really mean it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You call it Reasoned Logic<\/span><\/p>\n

I call it an Anti-Magick Aura<\/span><\/p>\n

If you were honest with your doubts you\u2019d sniff to the science<\/span><\/p>\n

Hunt down the juicy bone of uncertainty and tear it to pieces<\/span><\/p>\n

You don\u2019t like quantum mechanics either, just like him<\/span><\/p>\n

that man I\u2019m not going to tell you about<\/span><\/p>\n

because you\u2019ll make it personal just like he did.<\/span>

the symmetry is undeniable\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in elements, in atoms, in storms<\/span><\/p>\n

in intention and action<\/span><\/p>\n

even in a face<\/span><\/p>\n

even in the eye itself<\/span><\/p>\n

this world blinks at you around every corner<\/span><\/p>\n

and your bizarre audacity stares back<\/span><\/p>\n

cynical clinical procedural proctologist<\/span><\/p>\n

pronouncing the Earth Herself: Dead On Arrival<\/span><\/p>\n

because only Her deadness gives you diamonds and oil<\/span><\/p>\n

and you won\u2019t even talk about how that makes you out to be<\/span><\/p>\n

some kind of extra warped anthropological necrophiliac\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and that\u2019s why Mama Gaia\u2019s got her eyes on you.<\/span><\/p>\n
