The day had been beautiful
\nThe sun remained high in the sky as we took our hike.
\nThe incline, manageable, though the miles just kept coming, or so it felt.
\nThere had been periodic breaks while we took a leisurely pace.
\nBeautiful sites abound on this trip,
\nGod\u2019s exquisite paintings at every turn.
\nBut this one. This one took the cake.
\nEntering under the falls,
\nSweat trickling over our faces,
\nRelief in our sites as the sun began to set.
\nOur ride would be coming soon to take us back to our cars,
\nThankfully, there was time to indulge in a dip.
\nIn a joyous refreshing dip.
\nThe water running over our faces,
\nCooling our tired bodies as we float among the fish.
\nThe perfect way to end the day.<\/p>\n
