Fleisher<\/p>\n<p>Hour 22<\/p>\n<p>Prompt 22:\u00a0 Choose an image and write a poem about it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Journey to the Light<\/p>\n<p>I am stuck in the darkness,<\/p>\n<p>But the light is in front of me, I can see it clearly now,<\/p>\n<p>Warm and golden inside the basalt cave,<\/p>\n<p>Beckoning me to come.<\/p>\n<p>The journey has been long and arduous,<\/p>\n<p>And I grow weak from the battle.<\/p>\n<p>I am starving for the light, and I\u2019m almost there.<\/p>\n<p>But the worst rocks block my path now,<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of them, piled deep across the shoreline,<\/p>\n<p>Treacherous to walk across,<\/p>\n<p>Ready to twist and shift under my feet.<\/p>\n<p>But that is the only path to the light,<\/p>\n<p>So I must travel it.<\/p>\n<p>As I step with determination onto the first boulder,<\/p>\n<p>The light from the basalt cave illuminates<\/p>\n<p>A path across the rocks that could not be seen<\/p>\n<p>From the safety of the shore.<\/p>\n<p>Each step I take, each boulder I conquer,<\/p>\n<p>The light in front of me becomes brighter,<\/p>\n<p>The pathway becomes clearer.<\/p>\n<p>Moving more confidently now,<\/p>\n<p>I find the boulders are anchored in my mind.<\/p>\n<p>One final sprint across the rocks,<\/p>\n<p>And I\u2019m standing at the entrance to the cave.<\/p>\n<p>The light is so intense, it penetrates to the bone,<\/p>\n<p>Melting all the frozen places in an instant.<\/p>\n<p>Light becomes music. I am alive. I am whole.<\/p>\n<p>My mind and my body vibrate with the energy,<\/p>\n<p>Resonate with the frequency.<\/p>\n<p>432 Hz. Perfection in sound and light,<\/p>\n<p>The eternal balance for all things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beth A.
