Goldilocks
\nscheduled the meeting
\ninviting all three bears on
\nher management team<\/p>\n
A breakfast conference
\nmade all the better
\nwith ordered food
\nfrom local Porridge House<\/p>\n
Noticing the bears were
\nall in the waiting room
\nshe continued into Zoom
\nstrangely finding no bears<\/p>\n
Each had logged on via
\ntheir own laptop \u2013 each
\nshowing a different view of
\ncottage conference room B<\/p>\n
In the foreground of each
\nsat the delivered porridge
\nbiodegradable takeout
\nboxes unopened, seals on<\/p>\n
Goldilocks
\nwaited until ten past
\nlong enough for her concern
\nto overtake her anger<\/p>\n
The bears had all logged on
\nnobody had taken time
\nto put their laptop on mute
\nGoldilocks listened<\/p>\n
hearing nothing but the
\nstaccato hum of the AC
\nand periodic buzzing of what
\nsounded like a firefly<\/p>\n
Goldilocks sent out a
\ngroup text, inquiring to the
\nbears whereabouts, noting
\nanother Zoom she had to do<\/p>\n
A quick text response
\n\u2018be right there\u2019 put her mind
\nsomewhat at ease while
\nratcheting up her curiosity<\/p>\n
A minute, no more than two
\nand all three bears were
\nseated by their laptops, porridge
\nsitting snugly in front of them<\/p>\n
\u201cMorning, boss.\u201d said a bear
\n\u201cMorning,\u201d added another bear
\n\u201cHey there.\u201d chimed in the third bear
\n\u201cHello\u201d said Goldilocks, curtly<\/p>\n
The bears, looking sheepish
\neach started to fiddle with their
\ntakeout porridge while also grabbing
\nthe day\u2019s reports to review<\/p>\n
Goldilocks waited patiently as the
\nbears got themselves pulled together
\n\u201cLet\u2019s look at productivity review first\u201d
\nAll three bears shifted uncomfortably<\/p>\n
\u201cPapa bear!\u2019 barked Goldilocks
\nWhat s been going on with you?
\nYour productivity is way down in
\nevery single metric. Are you o.k?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cUhh, yeah. Just a rough month.
\nThis whole pandemic thing.
\nI\u2019ll pick up the pace. promise I will.\u201d
\n\u201cOkay, P.B. I\u2019ll hold you to that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMama bear!\u201d continued Goldilocks
\nas she noticed papa bear furiously
\ndowning his porridge. \u201cMama, mia!
\nYou are on fie-AH! Can you keep it up?\u201d
\n\u201cI do believe I can\u201d replied Mama,
\ncautiously. \u201cI certainly think I can.\u201d
\n\u201cWell, okay then! You go, girl!\u201d
\n\u201cSo, Boo Boo. How ya doing?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cJust fine, Ms. Goldilocks, ma\u2019am.\u201d
\n\u201cGood. I\u2019m looking at your report \u2013
\nlooks good. Nothing to complain
\nabout, you\u2019re doing well, as usual.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you, Ms. Goldilocks, ma\u2019am.\u201d
\n\u201cThank you, Boo-Boo. Keep it up.
\nNow, we have one more item\u2026\u201d
\n\u201cExcuse me. Ms. Goldilocks\u2026?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, Mama Bear?\u201d
\n\u201cIs this about the rally tomorrow?\u201d
\n\u201cYes it is. You have some thoughts?\u201d
\n\u201cI think we should all be there!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, yes. It IS part of the job.\u201d
\n\u201cPretty much the same as last week?\u201d
\n\u201cYes, Mama Bear. exactly the same.\u201d
\n\u201cThen I think we can just wrap up.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOkay then. Any objections? No?
\nThen have a good day, everybody.
\nGet out there, and do your best.\u201d
\n\u201cSmash the patriarchy!\u201d said Papa.<\/p>\n
\u201cSmash the patriarchy!\u201d added Mama.
\n\u201cSmash the patriarchy!\u201d yelled Boo Boo.
\n\u201cUmm, Ms. Goldilocks? At the rally, will
\nthere be a picnic lunch provided? <\/p>\n
