I sit in the darkness of my mind,<\/p>\n
wrapped in the situation, draped round me like a cloak,<\/p>\n
My mind whispers quietly from the back,<\/p>\n
\u201cbe honest\u201d but I am finding the words to be lost as they approach my tongue.<\/p>\n
In the\u00a0soft moonlight I am lost to the night,<\/p>\n
I wonder if I just said how I feel,<\/p>\n
Would it all turn out alright?<\/p>\n
Would my words shed some light,<\/p>\n
Make us feel we could hold on a little longer,<\/p>\n
banish our fright?<\/p>\n
And when the sun rises in a couple of hours,<\/p>\n
As we bid “good morning” to one another,<\/p>\n
Would we see the flowers?<\/p>\n
Would they grow after the storm of lies which had rained down upon us both within the night?<\/p>\n
At this time, it’s so hard to know, so hard to fight.<\/p>\n
