Now we take baby’s first steps
\nof thinking of ourselves
\nas a race, as something other than:<\/p>\n
Unique,
\nNeutral,
\nAmerica.<\/p>\n
As children we played with blocks,
\npracticed building houses
\nand occupying them.<\/p>\n
Now our defenses are knocked down,
\nbut we gather the blocks back,
\ntrying to return to the house
\nwe were building<\/p>\n
