Wait\u2026 I think this mumble jumble gibberish
\nThe grown ups speak has meaning
\nNow mom keeps pointing to that picture, repeating the same thing
\nLet me try\u2026 “eye keen” no\u2026 that’s not it\u2026 “eyes kweem”<\/p>\n

What is this foolish woman trying to do?
\nShe looks so silly with her eyes so big
\npointing to her mouth dramatically, too
\nThinking the exaggeration will help me learn<\/p>\n

Mom, I clearly hear you saying “ice cream”
\nBut learning to say it is a difficult thing
\nIf trying again will make you stop,
\nThen I’ll give it another shot<\/p>\n

“ice kweeeeeeem”
\nLook at mommy gleam!
\n“ICE kweeeeem!”
\nI’ve got it! Mommy is smiling so big!<\/p>\n

Yummmmmy! So this deliciousness has a name
\nAnd all this time I thought it was mommy’s silly game
