I have considered not even starting-<\/p>\n
Wait. That is a lie.<\/p>\n
At the very least, I should be practicing honesty.<\/p>\n
I have thought about not starting a gazillion times in my life.<\/p>\n
I am fabulously great at not starting.<\/p>\n
Not starting would make an excellent book.<\/p>\n
But it would never be read, because it would never be written.<\/p>\n
Because I am smitten by not startin.<\/p>\n
The hour is here.<\/p>\n
Time to get my butt in gear…<\/p>\n
But, not for the first time,<\/p>\n
I question the legitimacy-<\/p>\n
Wonder at the failure rate-<\/p>\n
And think I simply won’t pick up my pen and start to write…<\/p>\n
But once again, I hear the echoes of my childhood-<\/p>\n
Reminding me that I’ve got to be better than them.<\/p>\n
