{"id":87504,"date":"2021-06-26T09:56:55","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T13:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=87504"},"modified":"2021-06-26T09:56:55","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T13:56:55","slug":"the-circles-endings-and-beginnings-reverse-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/the-circles-endings-and-beginnings-reverse-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"The circle&#8217;s endings and beginnings (reverse poem)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\">Endings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Peace and quiet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They&#8217;re anything but,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The raging storm that breaks through a ship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They&#8217;re the grand culmination that completes your journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I would be lying if I ever dared to say to you that,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I hate them with my whole heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I adore them so.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I look in the mirror as I lie that,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Endings are just chaos and fire reigning the town,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Bringing the circle to a close.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">But a circle does not end,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">But a circle does not begin,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Sketching the first dot of the circle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Mishaps and everyone finding their footing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I&#8217;d be lying if I say that beginnings are only,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Small gasps of surprise and happiness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They&#8217;re taxing and eating through your soul.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They aren&#8217;t just the first thing that comes to mind that,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They&#8217;re the adrenaline keeping you young.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Leaving your comfort space you call home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They&#8217;re anything but,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Peace and quiet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Beginnings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>NOW READ IT BACKWARDS!<\/strong> <strong>It&#8217;s a reverse poem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>~thryaksha\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Endings.
