Uncharted lands, the tiny path<\/p>\n
That twist and turned upon itself<\/p>\n
Into the woods in the mist-ridden<\/p>\n
Hills where you once walked.<\/p>\n
I heard not the birds singing<\/p>\n
Nor the clanging doom of death<\/p>\n
As it loomed into your bedroom<\/p>\n
Tripping over our toes, I only felt<\/p>\n
Your hand as it left mine, forever.<\/p>\n

Death, when it came was a relief,<\/p>\n
It was etched upon the peace in your face<\/p>\n
As lines were forever erased<\/p>\n
Along with your smile, the gold of your voice<\/p>\n
It was no ending, as I said<\/p>\n

Of a lifetime spent without you<\/p>\n
