perspiration coats the arms, the legs<\/p>\n
upper lip<\/p>\n
The culprit who stirred you is<\/p>\n
the little man who turns on your brain and waits for it to start<\/p>\n
warming up<\/p>\n
He looked at his clocked and yelled<\/p>\n
“Oh, Dear!”<\/p>\n
Sounding the alarms you rustled<\/p>\n
and see that it’s 6:50<\/p>\n
Oh Dear indeed<\/p>\n
Hollow chest<\/p>\n
Gasping for breath you<\/p>\n
claw for your laptop<\/p>\n
and write the first poem of the day<\/p>\n
all the while cursing your thin willpower<\/p>\n
Heart bulges and balloons<\/p>\n
trying to free itself through any openings in the body<\/p>\n
Perhaps it’s my throat,<\/p>\n
the papercut on my index finger<\/p>\n
