We mean those words more at 28 than 16.<\/p>\n

I pull on my sweatshirt<\/p>\n
And grab my keys.<\/p>\n
Playing only songs that make me think of you<\/p>\n
As I drive to your place.<\/p>\n

Deep breaths as I cut the engine.<\/p>\n
I wonder what your neighbors see.<\/p>\n
I’m clearly not your son’s mother<\/p>\n
Or your fiancee.<\/p>\n

Your stairs seem to go on forever.<\/p>\n
One step up moves me three further from you<\/p>\n
But I keep climbing.<\/p>\n

Another deep breath<\/p>\n
As I raise my hand to knock<\/p>\n
