You could tell from his looks life had been hard.<\/p>\n
He was a hairless pup that was naked and afraid.<\/p>\n
His skin was weathered, no attention was paid.<\/p>\n
A sweater I took from my own dog\u2019s collection.<\/p>\n
He looked up at me with canine affection.<\/p>\n
After food and water his tail did start.<\/p>\n
Wagging away and stealing my heart.<\/p>\n
He licked my hand and curled up at my feet.<\/p>\n
It was time for him to lay there and sleep.<\/p>\n
He slept on the porch in the rays of the sun.<\/p>\n
I went inside to get some work done.<\/p>\n
I checked on him throughout the day.<\/p>\n
Curled up in his sweater he did stay.<\/p>\n
I decided to place a notice on Facebook.<\/p>\n
Just in case his owner would look.<\/p>\n
A picture was needed so I got my phone.<\/p>\n
I went to the porch, but I was alone!<\/p>\n
Off he had gone; he was on his way.<\/p>\n
I truly thought he was here to stay.<\/p>\n
I hope he enjoyed our time together.<\/p>\n
