The irises return, overwhelming eyes and nose<\/p>\n
with their wonder and memories.<\/p>\n
These flowers my namesake<\/p>\n
grew abundantly in grandma’s garden<\/p>\n
despite the heat and poor soil.<\/p>\n
It must have been her sheer will<\/p>\n
and speaking to them in a stern voice<\/p>\n
that did it.<\/p>\n
Years have passed<\/p>\n
they still grow and<\/p>\n
