Heavy weight<\/span><\/p>\n

Heavy feels<\/span><\/p>\n

Feels channeled<\/span><\/p>\n

Feels the bar<\/span><\/p>\n

Bar cold and knurling digs<\/span><\/p>\n

Bar clutched, safe in hands<\/span><\/p>\n

Hands now calloused and worn<\/span><\/p>\n

Hands steady, energy calm<\/span><\/p>\n

Calm the storm raging inside<\/span><\/p>\n

Calm the darkness that I hide<\/span><\/p>\n

Hide with a smile and a wink and shrug<\/span><\/p>\n

Hide all the times I wish to see blood<\/span><\/p>\n

Blood on hands while children weep<\/span><\/p>\n

Blood of the holy as they slaughter the sheep<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheep in the pen, trusting and new<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheep in my head bleating their fear<\/span><\/p>\n

Fear here is tested<\/span><\/p>\n

Fear here is real<\/span><\/p>\n

Real as in terror of limits unknown<\/span><\/p>\n

Real as in terror of what is below<\/span>
\n<\/span>Below the surface waters churn<\/span><\/p>\n

Below the conscious a fire burns<\/span><\/p>\n

Burns the embers, soul alight<\/span><\/p>\n

Burns the demons that haunt the night<\/span><\/p>\n

Night vast, dark and deep<\/span><\/p>\n

Night breaks through what I need<\/span><\/p>\n

Need explosive power now<\/span><\/p>\n

Need calls forth the demon here<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is the time and<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is the place<\/span> 30<\/span><\/p>\n

Place the burden of years on my back<\/span><\/p>\n

Place my feet steady, ready to attack<\/span><\/p>\n

Attack the doubts and the dread and the like<\/span><\/p>\n

Attack with speed and conscious mind<\/span><\/p>\n

Mind your body<\/span><\/p>\n

Mind your soul<\/span><\/p>\n

Soul is rough and trodden and fights<\/span><\/p>\n

Soul cries out as beauty unfolds<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfolds with understanding anew<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfolds to reveal the powerful you<\/span> 40<\/span><\/p>\n

You who have beaten the odds to be here<\/span><\/p>\n

You who never knew when to quit<\/span><\/p>\n

Quit to save yourself the pain<\/span><\/p>\n

Quit because you\u2019re afraid of making a name<\/span><\/p>\n

Name they\u2019ll remember and<\/span><\/p>\n

Name they\u2019ll use to hold you to what they want you to do<\/span><\/p>\n

Do what feels good and do what feels right<\/span><\/p>\n

Do what brings your body to light<\/span><\/p>\n

Light..<\/span><\/p>\n
