So congratulations half marathoners, you are almost there!<\/p>\n<p>This prompt is to write about a world with alternative rules. To help inspire this prompt I have included one of my favorite poems by Jeffery McDaniels &#8220;The Quiet World&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In an effort to get people to look<br \/>\ninto each other\u2019s eyes more,<br \/>\nand also to appease the mutes,<br \/>\nthe government has decided<br \/>\nto allot each person exactly one hundred<br \/>\nand sixty-seven words, per day.<\/p>\n<p>When the phone rings, I put it to my ear<br \/>\nwithout saying hello.
