world itself.<\/p>\n
Her lips tasted like a sweet mix of watermelon<\/p>\n
and strawberries no doubt a result of the lip gloss<\/p>\n
she always kept in her purse.<\/p>\n
Here I felt safe<\/p>\n
Here I felt complete<\/p>\n
Here in her arms was everything<\/p>\n
I had ever dreamed.<\/p>\n
Dreams turned into nightmares<\/p>\n
memories forever scattered<\/p>\n
on the floor of my mind<\/p>\n
like broken glass.<\/p>\n
Picking up the pieces<\/p>\n
of a life that I left<\/p>\n
behind when I allowed<\/p>\n
myself to become entangled<\/p>\n
in all of your lies.<\/p>\n
And despite the many oppositions<\/p>\n
from those who have my best<\/p>\n
interest at heart<\/p>\n
I chose to continue to play<\/p>\n
my part in the role never actually<\/p>\n
casts for me.<\/p>\n
I guess I should’ve read the fine print<\/p>\n
because then I would’ve known<\/p>\n
