or fame, salt-and-pepper sets, sewing thimbles,<\/p>\n
something for an evening of tea with invented friends.<\/p>\n

What does the phrase ‘gathering gloom’ mean?<\/p>\n
Do the clouds get together and decide to darken?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Does this mean it’s time for humans and other<\/p>\n
creatures to huddle in a circle and chant?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Is it then time to kick off one’s shoes and beat the<\/p>\n
ground with feet?\u00a0 I don’t know how to do that either.<\/p>\n
