My shovel struck a rock<\/p>\n
which was the obvious thought<\/p>\n
until I dug it out to see that it was not.<\/p>\n

Much too deliberate a shape<\/p>\n
quite wide and so oblong.<\/p>\n
I had to start to scrape.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Clanged with a trowel<\/p>\n
washed with a hose<\/p>\n
cleaned with a towel.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It glimmered at me<\/p>\n
shined bright as carefree.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I noticed a hatch<\/p>\n
with a spring and a catch.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I opened it up<\/p>\n
not believing my luck.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our popped a note<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t believe who had wrote.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It\u2019s words were from me<\/p>\n
I was overwhelmed with glee.<\/p>\n

I suddenly remembered<\/p>\n
many lifetimes ago<\/p>\n
I wrote it so slow.<\/p>\n

Wondered who would find it,<\/p>\n
wise words tried to transmit.<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t wait to find my<\/p>\n
directive for futurekind.<\/p>\n

But was quite disappointed<\/p>\n
at words so disjointed.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It said don\u2019t rock the boat<\/p>\n
keep your dreams afloat<\/p>\n
