That&#8217;s why I won\u2019t<\/p>\n<p>buy shoes unless they feel like slippers on my feet.<\/p>\n<p>A librarian at the college where I work confessed to me<\/p>\n<p>her fetish for footwear. She loves their stylish looks,<\/p>\n<p>though she never goes barefoot anymore because her feet<\/p>\n<p>are messed up wearing these senseless shoes. That\u2019s<\/p>\n<p>what we can call them, yes? The flipside of \u201csensible shoes\u201d<\/p>\n<p>that support and don\u2019t harm? Earlier this month, NPR<\/p>\n<p>reported that researchers examined 700-year-old skeletons<\/p>\n<p>to discover gross degeneration of the bones<\/p>\n<p>in their feet \u2013 painful bunions they got from wearing<\/p>\n<p>the popular\u00a0pointy shoes in medieval Britain. Like a foot<\/p>\n<p>can fit properly into a baguette. Come on, people &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>wise up!
