You’ll forgive me if I appear to lack<\/p>\n

the gravity expected of a<\/p>\n

professional author<\/p>\n

I’ll have you know I take my craft<\/p>\n

as seriously as sin<\/p>\n

And still despite my publications and certifications<\/p>\n

for the countless\u00a0ways I’ve been asked<\/p>\n

“What is a poem?”<\/p>\n

the best and truest answer<\/p>\n

I’ve yet to muster is,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Whatever the fuck you want it to be.”<\/p>\n
