{"id":92407,"date":"2021-06-26T14:37:19","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T18:37:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=92407"},"modified":"2021-06-26T14:37:19","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T18:37:19","slug":"hour-six-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/hour-six-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour Six"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moving<\/p>\n<p>This year, we have been unable to move,<br \/>\nTo travel, explore, visit friends and family,<br \/>\nStick to your own back yard, we are told,<br \/>\nStay home, stay local, stay safe.<\/p>\n<p>But, get outside, we&#8217;re also told,<br \/>\nExercise, enjoy the fresh air,<br \/>\nSo down to the seafront, I wander,<br \/>\nFor a stroll or amble, or meander.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes a fast pace,<br \/>\nMarching along the promenade,<br \/>\nSometimes slow, to admire the scenery,<br \/>\nWatching the tide draw in, or out.<\/p>\n<p>As the sea breeze picks up,<br \/>\nI pass pier and bandstand,<br \/>\nFamilies and lone joggers,<br \/>\nEnjoying the evening air.<\/p>\n<p>In this seaside town, I&#8217;m glad to call home,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll just keep putting one step<br \/>\nIn front of the other,<br \/>\nTill I reach my journey&#8217;s end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moving This year, we have been unable to move, To travel, explore, visit friends and family, Stick to your own back yard, we are told, Stay home, stay local, stay safe.
