Creativity<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Where do I find creativity?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It\u2019s often not at my desk<\/p>\n
where nothing much changes<\/p>\n
except on this electronic gadget<\/p>\n
that wants something from me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I enjoy strolling amongst<\/p>\n
an ever-changing landscape<\/p>\n
that speaks in a language<\/p>\n
all its own.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I trek past lush gardens<\/p>\n
that sometimes can\u2019t<\/p>\n
contain their exuberance<\/p>\n
and overflow onto what<\/p>\n
used to be boring grass<\/p>\n
strips by the street.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I hike trough the woods<\/p>\n
where once in a while<\/p>\n
a house in a clearing<\/p>\n
has a Rapunzel like tower<\/p>\n
just lacking her hair.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I march into downtown<\/p>\n
met by overwhelming input<\/p>\n
from so many directions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know where to look until<\/p>\n
someone so down on his luck<\/p>\n
no longer pleads with his eyes<\/p>\n
which says much to me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Other times I plod through mud<\/p>\n
turn head down from the rain<\/p>\n
and remember a time I was lost<\/p>\n
in a storm that altered my life.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I promenade through my neighborhood<\/p>\n
and catch up on news that might<\/p>\n
sound a lot like gossip if you\u2019re not<\/p>\n
from around here.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Where do I find creativity?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The answer might be nowhere.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When I look up<\/p>\n
from my fog\u2026<\/p>\n
and notice\u2026<\/p>\n
the bright red package<\/p>\n
that is parachuting down toward me<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I stand with open mouth<\/p>\n
and watch it float in the breeze<\/p>\n
with a fluorescent green label<\/p>\n
that has my name on it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I reach out to grab it<\/p>\n
and a voice screams<\/p>\n
