What does it mean to be normal?<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

A question I have asked myself.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

I do not like the word normal<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

It should be put upon a shelf.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

I used to use the word<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Like a lot of people do<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Until I became the mother<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Of a special child, then I knew.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Normal is whatever<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Is normal for each soul<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Normal is not something<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

You put into a mold.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Normal is a word that shoves<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

A circle into a square<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

It makes everyone the same<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

A quite dismal affair.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Just because someone<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Is not \u201cnormal\u201d in your book<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Do you think that makes them less?<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Or did you just not think to look?<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Everyone is quite unique<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Even if they live the same.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

We each have different thoughts<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

A different claim to fame.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Instead of thinking normal,<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Maybe typical would do<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

To explain the similarities<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Of what we all go through.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

A typical progression<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Of a skill or track<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Walking, talking, singing, writing<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n
