The truth is I don\u2019t know what \u201cnormal\u201d is
\nand I don\u2019t think I want to be normal.<\/p>\n
I was supposed to have a husband and kids by now,
\na house in the suburbs,
\nmaybe be a nurse or a teacher,
\na good Christian woman.<\/p>\n
But I\u2019m a 52 yr old queer woman,
\nnever married,
\nno white picket fence for me,
\na social worker.<\/p>\n
I went left instead of right.<\/p>\n
