Hold my hand as we cross the street<\/span><\/p>\n

And never take for granted that your feet<\/span><\/p>\n

Carry you from place to place<\/span><\/p>\n

And always do without a trace<\/span><\/p>\n

Of complaint<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Remember this moment as we stroll<\/span><\/p>\n

Along the sidewalk feeling whole<\/span><\/p>\n

Hand in hand and two by two<\/span><\/p>\n

And know this mem\u2019ry will be true<\/span><\/p>\n

To hold<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But fleeting as it always is<\/span><\/p>\n

And easy to forget amidst the bliss<\/span><\/p>\n

Of evry day events like this<\/span><\/p>\n

Like all those time your ma did kiss<\/span><\/p>\n

Your brow<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So baby girl, come along<\/span><\/p>\n

And yes keep skipping to that song<\/span><\/p>\n

That plays it’s tune inside your head<\/span><\/p>\n

As there will come a day that you’ll be led<\/span><\/p>\n

Away<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That’s not too say away is bad<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s natural you’ll meet a lad<\/span><\/p>\n

Or lady or thing that will bring you near<\/span><\/p>\n

To them and then my only fear?<\/span><\/p>\n

Remorse<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So take it in and spend your time<\/span><\/p>\n

Etching the rote, the dozen a dime<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember the things that you found sweet<\/span><\/p>\n

A cuddle, a comfort, a little treat\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The spring<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And take them with you when you go<\/span><\/p>\n

In your body, your mind, your soul you’ll stow<\/span><\/p>\n

The goodness of your childhood dreams<\/span><\/p>\n

You’ll find you always have a way to beam<\/span><\/p>\n

You home<\/span><\/p>\n
