There was a party\u2026adults drinking,<\/p>\n
LOTS of flirting. \u00a0A little girl facedown<\/p>\n
in the fountain. Across the street,<\/p>\n
a grouchy old guy was about to fall<\/p>\n
down the stairs and die; he\u2019d seen<\/p>\n
the little girl in the water and was<\/p>\n
trying to warn someone. The woman<\/p>\n
cellist\u2026the girl\u2019s mother and one<\/p>\n
of the flirters\u2026was favored by the<\/p>\n
host, a Russian guy with an ex-stripper<\/p>\n
wife. The wife was offering the cellist<\/p>\n
a lap dance when the girl<\/p>\n
in the water was discovered.<\/p>\n
Although the stripper said she never<\/p>\n
slept with her clients, she lied. It was<\/p>\n
her daughter who had pushed<\/p>\n
the girl into the fountain. That remained<\/p>\n
secret. The best friend of the cellist<\/p>\n
knew CPR and saved the little girl. She was<\/p>\n
trying to have a baby and had asked for her<\/p>\n
friend\u2019s eggs a half-hour before the party.<\/p>\n
Her friend thought it was disgusting<\/p>\n
to ask for someone\u2019s eggs. And why,<\/p>\n
if you did ask, would you ask just before<\/p>\n
a party over wine and cheese? There<\/p>\n
was an ambulance and a helicopter<\/p>\n
and a traffic jam. There were terrible<\/p>\n
nerves and tears. Turned out the best<\/p>\n
friend\u2019s mother was a hoarder. And<\/p>\n
the best friend was a bit of a thief: a shoe,<\/p>\n
a necklace, other things that went missing<\/p>\n
from the cellist\u2019s house. The cellist changed<\/p>\n
her mind after her little girl came home<\/p>\n
from the hospital, and she found the<\/p>\n
missing shoe. Puh!<\/em> She would give<\/p>\n her best friend, the dummkopf<\/em>, her eggs.<\/p>\n There were no more parties at the Russian<\/p>\n guy\u2019s house.
