{"id":94326,"date":"2021-06-26T17:06:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T21:06:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=94326"},"modified":"2021-06-26T17:06:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T21:06:56","slug":"mountain-out-of-a-molehill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/mountain-out-of-a-molehill\/","title":{"rendered":"Mountain Out of a Molehill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Dramatic!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Crocodile tears!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t go making a mountain out of a molehill<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But gain perspective<\/p>\n<p>To the ant, the molehill is their Everest<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The bodies of their loved ones are caked into the dirt<\/p>\n<p>unable to make the<\/p>\n<p>climb<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A 3-mile hike to him is a<\/p>\n<p>easy<\/p>\n<p>breezy<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I wheeze and cough<\/p>\n<p>giving myself internal pep talk after pep talk<\/p>\n<p>pausing to catch my breath under the cover<\/p>\n<p>of admiring flowers<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Sensitive!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hyperaware of all that isn&#8217;t normal<\/p>\n<p>but feels out of control<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coming out of the dark and<\/p>\n<p>into the light<\/p>\n<p>isn&#8217;t always a good thing<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tunnel vision felt safe<\/p>\n<p>cozy<\/p>\n<p>secure<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We live and die trying to survive the day<\/p>\n<p>make this year better than the last<\/p>\n<p>to keep moving forward<\/p>\n<p>but never healing from the past<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dramatic!
