Colour green elevates her fertility
\nAnd so cultivation lick
\nher belly infinity!
\nShe give souls the energy–ability to walk boldly
\nUnder the sun with gentility—–<\/p>\n
Render agriculture impotent
\nAnd lives would be half-baked!
\nFor when a pen can’t roll
\nIn the palms of some souls
\nThe cutlass
\nFill the belly to the brim on the land!<\/p>\n
O’! Asaase ber!
\nYou welcomed our great grand fathers
\nTo sip from your face!—–<\/p>\n
At last truncated the hunger of the village
\nWhen currency was far from home
\nNow you serve the nation as a whole
\nFor your products call the papers
\nTo bring back home greater income
\nThat makes you and I
