Elton Trueblood<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have faith<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>that we can find the circumference of a circle<\/p>\n<p>if we know the radius or diameter,<\/p>\n<p>and someone remembers pi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>that trees, grass, and vines will eventually<\/p>\n<p>overtake our human<\/p>\n<p>manicuring efforts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>that my dog will go to<\/p>\n<p>the first person available, on or before 5:30 p.m.,<\/p>\n<p>and demand dinner if I am gone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>that the sun will continue to shine<\/p>\n<p>and planets will rotate<\/p>\n<p>after I die.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>that I will not willingly jump from an intact plane,<\/p>\n<p>ski down a snow-covered slope, or<\/p>\n<p>climb a steep mountain face for fun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Strength of My Faith &nbsp; \u201cFaith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation.\u201d D.
