Tourists line up at restaurants with<\/p>\n
names like The Grand Marlin and<\/p>\n
Peg Leg Pete’s, but beyond the<\/p>\n
dunes and pier Poseidon waits with<\/p>\n
his famous trident. It is 2017 and I<\/p>\n
stare across the sparkling water<\/p>\n
of Pensacola Bay at the Naval Air<\/p>\n
Station. I’m missing my daughter,<\/p>\n
wondering what she could be doing over there,<\/p>\n
because I’m hoping Poseidon decides<\/p>\n
tonight will stay calm.<\/p>\n
