{"id":9546,"date":"2015-06-13T16:06:27","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T20:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=9546"},"modified":"2015-06-13T16:06:27","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T20:06:27","slug":"poem-8-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/poem-8-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Poem #8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The clouds are calling out to each other overhead,<br \/>\nanger flashing between them,<br \/>\nand the remnents of their words coming down to us in a cacaphony.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I wonder about what they must be arguing about,<br \/>\nor if some of it is just a show of force to those of us on the ground.<br \/>\nReasons for us to not taunt those beyond our understanding,<br \/>\nand so far up above our heads.<\/p>\n<p>They must have really high opinions of themselves,<br \/>\nor they wouldn&#8217;t be so loud when they choose to be.<br \/>\nI think they like the attention that a bright light or a loud boom gets them.<\/p>\n<p>Or maybe they&#8217;re just lonely up there,<br \/>\nand want to be seen again,<br \/>\nsince cloudwatching has become such a lost pastime lately.<br \/>\nThey miss the admiring eyes of those on the ground looking up,<br \/>\nand seeing amazing shapes and creatures in their midst.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The clouds are calling out to each other overhead, anger flashing between them, and the remnents of their words coming down to us in a cacaphony.
