{"id":95945,"date":"2021-06-26T19:14:42","date_gmt":"2021-06-26T23:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=95945"},"modified":"2021-06-26T19:14:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-26T23:14:42","slug":"hour-eleven-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/hour-eleven-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour Eleven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\">Nature or Love?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I never see the forest for the trees<br \/>\nI always find myself longing to be in nature<br \/>\nand yet, I never know what to do when I get there<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The first time I went to a state park<br \/>\nthe forest ranger told me I needed to be<br \/>\ncareful &#8220;This isn&#8217;t the city,&#8221; He said with a smile<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">What I always found funny is that<br \/>\nI was born out in the middle of nowhere<br \/>\nI have never even seen a skyscraper before<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">When I go outside, I always<br \/>\ntry to look up at the clouds in the sky<br \/>\neveryone else can turn them into shapes I can&#8217;t see<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Nature makes me feel different<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s like looking for a needle in a haystack,<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t belong in nature, just like a needle doesn&#8217;t belong in hay<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Looking out at the vast<br \/>\nspread of trees within a park<br \/>\nmakes me feel so alone in this large world<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">It&#8217;s actually quite ironic<br \/>\nnature almost makes me feel<br \/>\nlike you used to before you took my heart and left<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nature or Love?
