Christmas Eve Sing-Along<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sleigh bells ring<\/p>\n

I\u2019m listening<\/p>\n

to deep, soulful chimes<\/p>\n

of handbells near the dais<\/p>\n

where the harpist strums<\/p>\n

and the little drummer boy<\/p>\n

rumpa-tum-tum-tums<\/p>\n

with a glance to the director<\/p>\n

for her smile of approval<\/p>\n

even when he misses a beat<\/p>\n

His performance isn\u2019t for her<\/p>\n

or me<\/p>\n

or angelic voices joining the chorus<\/p>\n

or the crowd warmed after snowy drives in the dark<\/p>\n

or even his mom smiling gleefully from the front pew<\/p>\n

This lifting of voices<\/p>\n

of notes<\/p>\n

of harmonies<\/p>\n

of joy to the rafters and beyond<\/p>\n

is for the Creator who so loved us<\/p>\n

that He gave His only begotten Son<\/p>\n

that whosoever should believe in Him<\/p>\n
