\u201cChristmas is my favorite holiday,\u201d I say<\/span><\/p>\n

As everyone rolls their eyes<\/span><\/p>\n

And I understand it’s so cliche<\/span><\/p>\n

But try as I might I just can’t deny<\/span><\/p>\n

I love the magic, color playing with light<\/span><\/p>\n

Childlike wonder all around<\/span><\/p>\n

And the crisp in the air brings me such joy<\/span><\/p>\n

The pure delight of giving (and receiving\u2019s good too)<\/span><\/p>\n

But mostly being together with those I hold dear<\/span><\/p>\n

As the end of another chapter draws near<\/span><\/p>\n

And I understand the holidays are hard<\/span><\/p>\n

Get moreso every year<\/span><\/p>\n

For there are empty seats at the table<\/span><\/p>\n

Those we have lost, ones who’ve moved on<\/span><\/p>\n

But not from our hearts<\/span><\/p>\n

And so we do ache and long for<\/span><\/p>\n

Their company at this time<\/span><\/p>\n

That doesn’t stop me from enjoying<\/span><\/p>\n

The jingles that make the air bright<\/span><\/p>\n

And the ho ho ho and the mistletoe<\/span><\/p>\n

Swept up in the merriment, a toast to the yule<\/span><\/p>\n
