When I turned 20 I received<\/p>\n

My most powerful feeling<\/p>\n

A warm yellow of joy and spring<\/p>\n

From which I get no break.<\/p>\n

You’d think me glad,<\/p>\n

and far from mad,<\/p>\n

But of course! I haven’t any choice.<\/p>\n

The darkened sky can’t make me cry<\/p>\n

But gives me plenty of work.<\/p>\n

Some not so “lucky” need my joy<\/p>\n

To get through their day.<\/p>\n

Flowers in bloom<\/p>\n

Distilling a mood in time<\/p>\n

Before I send it it their way.<\/p>\n

But I ask you, my dear,<\/p>\n

If all you feel is joy<\/p>\n

how can your head be clear?<\/p>\n

My feeling are dim, and I<\/p>\n

I’m limited to acting<\/p>\n

Upon the feeling’s whim.<\/p>\n

The solution lies in a secret<\/p>\n

The middling colors won’t ever know<\/p>\n

nor will the children who feel for free<\/p>\n

Oh! There’s the door,<\/p>\n

a knock awaiting me!<\/p>\n

At last, hooray, it has arrived.<\/p>\n

My case of anxiet-tea.<\/p>\n
