{"id":9640,"date":"2015-06-13T16:30:53","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T20:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=9640"},"modified":"2015-06-13T16:30:53","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T20:30:53","slug":"poetry-prompt-five-a-persona-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/poetry-prompt-five-a-persona-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"Poetry Prompt Five: A Persona Poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>She doesn&#8217;t speak when you ask her to talk.<\/p>\n<p>She won&#8217;t take one step if you asked her to walk.<\/p>\n<p>Her eyes would never catch yours.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;d not want to touch you whatever the cause.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s hurting and broken and thinks you forgot her,<\/p>\n<p>She thinks badly about herself and would sooner be&#8230;not her.<\/p>\n<p>She doesn&#8217;t know which words to choose, so she doesn&#8217;t deign to choose,<\/p>\n<p>She feels like a loser, she&#8217;s confused, her heart is broken and bruised.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for this, she would never tell.<\/p>\n<p>Her agony, her problem, her darkness, her hell.<\/p>\n<p>She hides it, stuffed into the nighttime, but she won&#8217;t weep even then.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the movie of it replays over and over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s hurting and broken and thinks you forgot her,<\/p>\n<p>She thinks badly about herself and would sooner be&#8230;not her.<\/p>\n<p>She doesn&#8217;t know which words to choose, so she doesn&#8217;t deign to choose,<\/p>\n<p>She feels like a loser, she&#8217;s confused, her heart is broken and bruised.<\/p>\n<p>If you wanted her to let you in, you&#8217;d be mistaken.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s not been the same since her innocence was taken.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s nothing for her, she thinks she&#8217;s already in hell.<\/p>\n<p>And though she won&#8217;t say it, you can already tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>She doesn&#8217;t speak when you ask her to talk.
