Does he forgive me?&#8221;<br \/>\nAnd he merely smiles, and turns away.<br \/>\nHe always had the answers. I held all the questions.<br \/>\nI have given him gifts through the years,<br \/>\nblessed him with my children, cried with my flowers.<br \/>\nBut in the end, though the children grew old in his arms,<br \/>\nand the flowers faded to dust in his hands,<br \/>\nin the end he received them all, tokens of my love<br \/>\nin the many small and broken things.<br \/>\nThat life has always loved death, for the beauty of the temporary,<br \/>\nthe mortal, and forgotten.
