We want the things we can\u2019t have. We want the illusion of happiness
\npainted in tabloids, pop music, and reality tv. We want to know
\nthat love is real\u2014trying to grab air with bare hands. We want to
\nbe in control. We want our bodies to look like those photo-shopped
\nBarbies and Kens that are constantly bombarding our self-respect.
\nWe want to live on through eternity in a fantastical paradise where
\neverything we couldn\u2019t acquire in life is bestowed upon us in death.
\nWe need. That is the nature of man\u2014to need.
\nWe consume and abuse the elements around us.
\nWe need to feel to be real. Zombie minded dullards,
\nthey can get by tasting less than Love, less than True
\nLife, less than Will. We need words that make an impact
\nlike a sawed-off shotgun\u2014we need to blow the minds
\nof all the \u201csames\u201d who creep around in the night of day
\nlooking for more to eat, use, and rob. We need fantasy,
\nwe need reality, we need to dream to be alive.. Can you recall
\nthe darkness when you looked in the mirror? That black
\npit in the center of your eye? I saw the nothingness there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
