The room I\u2019d yet to see.<\/p>\n<p>One eye, a bright ruby. The other, deep glowing sapphire.<br \/>\nThe finest gemstones worthy of an Egyptian God.<\/p>\n<p>The Egyptian God of Death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou walked the temples of Egypt,\u201d she had told me years ago.<br \/>\nthe psychic, Irene, \u201coffering prayers from the living to the dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA priestess of the highest order in a golden age,\u201d she said.<br \/>\nHow bizarre that now I work with computers and play the tarot.<\/p>\n<p>He must be my friend, Anubis, guarding my back door, in the house<br \/>\nI never saw before I came.
