Literally and figuratively,<\/p>\n
Heavy and slight.<\/p>\n
Smelling water from miles away,<\/p>\n
Hardly need a compass,<\/p>\n
Always know where to go,<\/p>\n
Always as wise as the owl.<\/p>\n
Stepping over land mines,<\/p>\n
Picking up earthly rumbles,<\/p>\n
From their distant brethren,<\/p>\n
And when mother earth has cramps.<\/p>\n
Hearing trouble from miles away,<\/p>\n
Those majestic ears not just for show,<\/p>\n
