(hour 9)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Yer mother wears Army boots!\u2019<br \/>\na common insult<br \/>\ntossed around with impunity by<br \/>\nyoung boys of another era<br \/>\nplayground epithets<br \/>\nmeant to insult, sans vulgarity<br \/>\nor other references<br \/>\nthat might get you a fat lip or<br \/>\nblackened eye <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Yer mother wears Army boots!\u2019<br \/>\nalso served as<br \/>\ngroup-to-group affront<br \/>\nkids you didn\u2019t know or<br \/>\nwanted warned off<br \/>\nsame methodology<br \/>\nas one-on-one slur usage<br \/>\nthough with more derogatory<br \/>\ntone to group shout-outs<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Yer mother wears Army boots!\u2019<br \/>\na screed lost on<br \/>\nmy kids generation who<br \/>\nall grew up in an era<br \/>\nwhere mom wearing Army boots<br \/>\nwas nothing more<br \/>\nthan factual statement<br \/>\nto a generation wondering why<br \/>\nfootwear would be insulting<\/p>\n<p>For Mother\u2019s Day<br \/>\nmy eldest son<br \/>\nArmy reservist visiting a base<br \/>\nwith ample shopping<br \/>\ngifted his mother a regulation pair of<br \/>\ngenuine U.S. Army boots<br \/>\nfulfilling her wish for<br \/>\nhiking attire, and allowing me<br \/>\none more, later in life<br \/>\nopportunity to toss out one more<br \/>\n\u2018Yer mother wears Army boots!\u2019<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>\u2013 Mark L.
