Where
The Sage ponders
The Stage swallows

The Ensemble
casts surreal shadows

The Actor’s translucence
between curtain calls

The Audience showers
accolades for repeated bows

hollers for encores
oblivious to
backstage prop falls
dropped lines
or missed cues

once exposed
what is only destroyed

regardless of a
powerful
performance

is just a useless
illusion
