Free Verse – Adventure Time
Between the hardback covers lies an adventure,
in a world as intricately designed as a sunflower
in a garden where a Goddess sits alone knitting
with nature pulled together between her needles.
Her cheddar cheese dreams drown out the drums,
whether earthly bound or in the infinite space
she contains your life in a half-filled wine glass
which lies shattered upon a pebbled pavement.
And lying there on the wine stained floor the same
colour as her nails, one nail the colour of destruction
she waits for adventure while clinging to the fallen oak
as a satchel clings to the arm of a child exploring life.

These words did not speak to me,
they did not excite or turn me on.
I just wanted to feel myself freed
but these words did not speak to me
and what will be, will then always be.
These words however, were not wrong
but these words just did not speak to me
for now I will I do my best to carry on.

It is wonderful to see where ten words take people while writing – your poem is full of great metaphors and similes. I loved these lines:
‘in a garden where a Goddess sits alone knitting
with nature pulled together between her needles.’
AND
‘she contains your life in a half-filled wine glass’
Yes!!!
I just love your creation nature pulled together between a needle is very vivid and imaginative
