The aroma of a smile

Collecting happiness is picking flowers from a garden you spent years designing

A bouquet of smiles

Cosmos gifted from a stranger

Digging up roots from their home

Planting them somewhere new

Rose bushes that once looked like death

Saved by my presence

Day lilies to remind us to forget our worries

A bloom so beautiful it can only last one day

Purple coneflowers so tall and strong

They’re the keepsakes of butterfly moments

For a second I am flying away without a care

Darling come to me with your despair

Let me pick you some flowers to share

There’s beauty in the bouquet when life’s not fair.
