Hi all,
I’m from Singapore and relocated to Canada over a year ago. I’ve taken part in 24-hour playwriting competitions in the past while cloistered in one location with 80+ other people but this is the first time I’m doing it online, for poetry.
Best wishes to all fellow participants in The Poetry Marathon!
That is really great! I have always wanted to do a writing competition like that.
It really is physically taxing for sure, especially in the middle of the night! They do feed you decently enough though.
Hey Silver!
Just gone through your poems and was a little annoyed that there were only 24!! I really enjoyed the read and I’d have to say “It’s Eight, And Little Red’s In The Hood” had me cheering at the end!! LOVED IT!
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work!
Adri
Hi Adri,
Thanks for reading! I’m just starting to read my way through everyone else’s work and gosh, everyone’s so talented! To still be able to create so much imagery and meaning behind the words, especially towards the end when the energy’s flagging, it’s simply astonishing. I really want to time to mull over each and every one!
Cheers,
Silvester Phua
