Who said the train road – Hour, 4

Palindromes cause wars.

The famous one you brought from childhood

“A MAN A PLAN PANAMA”

An inside joke to keep the neighbors laughing

But who is my neighbor?

Am I the only one laughing?

Palindromes cause wars.

Esoteric as a means to copacetic living is only not pathetic if you have other things biding your time.

Most definitely not a palindrome

That was a clear form of thought

Meant to communicate some train of logic farther down the line

I thought we were merely to get on board

Jump on, quote palindromes, get off at the next car

But this is frankly absurd

Who said the train road?  You cannot see the tracks

As long as the train is and as small my vision

How would I have known my entrance was not my last?

Add 3

Add 3 subtract 1

That funny song from that funny movie from that not so funny book

The Little Prince

(let’s just keep it between me)

Add 3 subtract 1

You are supposed to be left with 2 but then again it’s not really the end until you take another look

The Little Prince

(let’s just keep it between me)

Add 3 subtract 1

I always come down to 0

Funny how math never seems to work

Add 3 subtract 1

I always come down to 0

You are supposed to be left with 2 but then again it’s not really the end until you take another look

Add 3 subtract 1

(let’s just keep it between me)

There was never a 3

Just a 1 and then a 0

And you spent the entire time,

Little Prince

Trying your very best to love me

Poem 2

Rough drafts are not as flimsy when your body is stuck to the board

The cork of a marathon training plan

I brought it here

Oh I could just leave it

Rough drafts are not as easy to edit when your body is full of the words

Frustration during a marathon training plan

It brought me here

Oh I could just leave it

Rough drafts are not as easy to recognize when your body’s changing the verbs

Frustration becomes enjoyment somewhere in the training plan

Brought for here

Oh I could never just leave it

Poem 1

I like the tension

Was what was being said

But never said

Stoked in romance pacing alongside two bicycles

A sidewalk the only field of vision

A sidewalk to some place

A different time

A healthier mind

And a little less division

No Stairs Here

To be stairs

Sure, steps always, but stairs?

Floating upwards

Built-in integrity

Supported intentionally from

The very first nail.

Instead of this flat thing,

Winding and never feeling

The full exertion of those walking

This simple path.

Never mind the location!

The path doesn’t see

What the feet are connecting with

Supported by mountains

A grateful pause of exertion

Amidst mountain tops

At sunrise

A respite from the perils of cross country traveling

No the simple path does not know what it is

Giving direction at a steady elevation

No stairs here, Praise God
